Dogs for the Disabled Assembly
5 November 2014
Today we were visited by Lynne and Brenda from Dogs for the Disabled. They brought with them Christa and Oadie who are both fully trained assistance dogs. Oadie is now retired but still lives with the family as a pet and Christa is a four year old working assistance dog. Lynne showed the children how Christa has been trained to remove her coat, shoes and socks and how she can pick things off the floor and give them back to her. Both dogs behaved impeccably and the children loved watching how much they can help improve the life of a disabled person. Thanks to your kind donations during the Big Dog's Breakfast we were able to present them with a cheque for £66.05.
