We have had another busy half term in class 1. We started off with all things Halloween - dressing up, making potions and writing potion recipes, carving pumpkins and making pumpkin soup. We really enjoyed using our woodwork tools to explore different sorts of squash, hammering nails in and sawing them up.
Our focus story has been The Gingerbread Man and we are really good at retelling it and acting it out. We have made our own story maps and some of us have had go at writing parts of the story independently. In maths we have learnt all about numbers to 5, we have investigated money and 2D shapes.
We found about the north and south poles in our world of ice topic and looked at the different animals that live there, we used a globe to find out where different places are. We found out that penguins can’t be eaten by polar bears but Father Christmas can!
